Thursday--The class begins on a getting to know you note, as students partner off and answer the following questions:
1. If you could hang out with one person for one day, who would it be and what would you do?
2. What is your all time favorite movie? What is the last good film that you saw?
3. If you could make a difference on one social issue what would it be?
4. What are your all time favorite Television shows?
5. If you had to choose one genre of music to listen to, what would it be?
6. How do you define mass media?
Partners then stepped to the podium to introduce one another. A promising start to what should be a great class.
Friday--We finished the getting to know you intros. and then discussed different definitions for media and mass media. We then did an exercise in one way communication involving partners and drawing. One way communication is tricky business indeed.
